How it works

Five steps, start to finish. You always know where your MacBook is and what happens next.

  1. Pick your model and the problem

    Find your MacBook by the A-number on its underside and tell us what it's doing. You see the fixed price straight away.

  2. Book and send it in

    Mail it in from anywhere in the UK with a prepaid Royal Mail QR label (nothing to print, post it at any Post Office), or drop it at our SE15 workshop by appointment. London courier collection is coming soon.

  3. We check it in and confirm the fault

    We test it when it arrives. If it needs something different from what you booked, we quote that first and do nothing until you say yes.

  4. Repair and test, with photos and videos

    We fit the part and test it before it goes anywhere, and send you photos and videos of the work, so you see what we see.

  5. Tracked back to you

    It comes back tracked, with a 12-month warranty on parts and labour.

How long it takes

Most repairs take 2 to 3 working days once we have your MacBook; screens and keyboards take 3 to 5. A diagnostic takes 1 to 2 working days, then we quote. Same day is only possible with our paid priority service.

Before you send it

  • Back it up with Time Machine or iCloud. Most repairs never touch your files, but a backup costs nothing.
  • Keep your password to yourself: we don't need it for most repairs. If a test needs a login, we ask you to set up a temporary account.
  • Leave Find My on. We only ask you to turn it off for logic board, storage or erase work, and we tell you first.
  • Take off any case, cover or keyboard skin, and leave the charger at home unless we ask for it.
  • Pack it in a padded box with at least 5 cm of padding all round.

Which MacBooks do you repair?

Every MacBook Pro from 2016 (13, 14, 15 and 16-inch) and every MacBook Air from 2018 (13 and 15-inch), Intel and Apple silicon M1, M2, M3 and M4. For the 2015 MacBook Pro and the A1466 MacBook Air we offer batteries, a deep clean and diagnostics. Older models, the 12-inch MacBook, iMac and Mac mini are quoted individually.

Is it worth repairing my MacBook?

Usually, yes: a new battery or screen costs a fraction of a new MacBook and keeps a machine you already know going for years. On older Intel models it can be closer: if a repair would cost more than the MacBook is worth, we say so before you book. A £49.99 diagnostic tells you exactly what is wrong first, and it comes off the repair if you go ahead.

Do you repair logic boards and liquid damage?

Yes, but not at a fixed price: logic board, liquid damage, data recovery and SSD work all start with a £49.99 diagnostic, then a fixed quote before any repair. If you go ahead, the diagnostic fee comes off the repair.

Which MacBook do I have?
