The ESC (electronic speed controller) on the Mini 2 core board drives the motors. When it fails, a motor will not spin, the app shows an ESC error and the drone will not take off. We diagnose and repair the ESC fault, then test every motor. It costs £139.99, takes typically 3-7 days and is covered by our 12-month warranty. Post it in or drop it at our London workshop by appointment.

- Calibrate the IMU, compass and gimbal, run a full hover and function test on the Mini 2, then send it back tracked with photos of the work.

What is an ESC on a drone?
The electronic speed controller converts battery power into the signal that spins each motor. On the Mini 2 it sits on the core board rather than in each arm.
Is it the motor or the ESC?
It can be either. A damaged motor can also kill the ESC that drives it, so we test both and replace the motor arm too if needed, with a price before any extra work.
Is an ESC fault worth repairing?
On most DJI drones it is far cheaper than replacing the aircraft, and we confirm the fault before starting so you are not paying for a guess.
