The gimbal surround is the frame that holds the Mini 4 Pro camera in its gimbal. When it cracks the camera can sag, rub or vibrate. We replace the surround, keep your working camera, and calibrate the gimbal. It costs £189.99, takes typically 3-7 days and is covered by our 12-month warranty. Signs your Mini 4 Pro needs this

- Check the camera, ribbon and gimbal motors are undamaged
- Remove the broken surround and transfer your camera into the new one
- Refit the gimbal assembly and its shock absorbers
- Calibrate the IMU, compass and gimbal, run a full hover and function test on the Mini 4 Pro, then send it back tracked with photos of the work.

Is a gimbal surround replacement cheaper than a new gimbal and camera?
Yes. If the Mini 4 Pro camera still works we keep it and only replace the broken surround, which avoids paying for a whole new camera unit.
How do I know if only the surround is broken?
If you still get a clean image and the gimbal powers up but the frame around the camera is cracked or loose, it is usually the surround. We confirm on the bench and tell you before doing anything else.
Can I keep flying with a cracked surround?
It is risky. A loose camera can catch the gimbal motors, trigger gimbal errors and turn a surround repair into a gimbal replacement.
Can I add other repairs to the same order?
Yes. Gimbal surround replacement is already ticked for you above, and you can tick anything else your Mini 4 Pro needs in the same order. The most expensive job is full price and every extra repair or upgrade is 10% off.

Yes. Every repair and upgrade we carry out on a drone comes with a 12-month warranty from our London workshop, and we send photos or video of the finished work before it ships back to you.
