A cracked or missing gimbal cover on the Mini 3 leaves the gimbal motor and ribbon exposed to dust and knocks. We fit a new cover and check the gimbal underneath while it is open. It costs £14.99, takes typically 3-7 days and is covered by our 12-month warranty. Post it in or drop it at our London workshop by appointment.

- Calibrate the IMU, compass and gimbal, run a full hover and function test on the Mini 3, then send it back tracked with photos of the work.

Is a broken gimbal cover worth fixing?
Yes. It is one of the cheapest Mini 3 repairs and it protects the gimbal motor and ribbon, which are far more expensive to replace.
What if the gimbal is damaged too?
We check while the cover is off. If the gimbal or camera needs work we tell you the price first and only carry it out with your go-ahead.
Does a new cover affect the camera?
No. The cover does not sit in the optical path, so image quality is unaffected. We still test the gimbal and camera before it goes back.
Can I add other repairs to the same order?
Yes. Gimbal cover replacement is already ticked for you above, and you can tick anything else your Mini 3 needs in the same order. The most expensive job is full price and every extra repair or upgrade is 10% off.

Is the gimbal cover replacement covered by a warranty?
Yes. Every repair and upgrade we carry out on a drone comes with a 12-month warranty from our London workshop, and we send photos or video of the finished work before it ships back to you.
