Consoleproblemen vallen, ongeacht het merk, in een klein aantal categorieën: HDMI-poorten die geen signaal meer geven (meestal door een kabel die onder een hoek is losgetrokken in plaats van recht eruit), oververhitting door jaren stofopbouw en uitgedroogde thermische pasta, diskdrives die niet meer lezen, en toestellen die helemaal niet meer aangaan. Opslag- en verbindingsproblemen - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, USB-poorten - komen minder vaak voor maar volgen hetzelfde patroon: een fysiek onderdeel is defect, geen instellingsprobleem dat je zelf kunt oplossen.
We inspecteren en diagnosticeren altijd voordat we een prijs noemen bij consolewerk - je weet wat er echt mis is en wat het kost voordat we ook maar iets aanraken, en als een reparatie het echt niet waard is ten opzichte van een vervangende console, zeggen we dat in plaats van de klus toch aan te nemen.
Breng hem naar onze werkplaats in Londen of stuur hem op; consoles reizen prima per post als ze goed verpakt zijn, en opsturen krijgt dezelfde diagnose en documentatie als een bezoek in persoon. Yes, from anywhere in the UK. Console repairs are UK only; controllers we take from anywhere in the world.
