Console Processing Assistant
London SE15Part-timeOn-sitePosted 14 October 2026
£13 - £14per hour, depending on experience
Apply nowEvery console and controller that comes into our workshop goes through intake first. This job makes sure what arrived is what we were told was coming, before anything goes near a repair bench.
It's a hands-on job where attention to detail is everything. If you're the person who spots the scuff everyone else missed, you'll do well here.
If you play games, that's a big plus. You'll know the hardware, and you'll care about it.
What you'll do
- Open incoming parcels, count and check what's inside, and label everything.
- Give each device a first visual check and compare it with what the customer told us. For example, does a trade-in match the issue it was sent in with?
- Record what's arrived clearly, so nothing gets lost on its way to the bench.
- Help customers who come in to collect, if you're good with people.
- Help with prep, including taking controllers and consoles apart, once you're comfortable doing it.
- Keep the intake area tidy and organised.
What we're looking for
- Attention to detail. This matters more than anything else on this list.
- Careful hands. These are other people's consoles and controllers.
- Reliable and on time.
- Clear written English for notes.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Ideally you live locally to the workshop.
A big plus
- You're comfortable taking apart controllers and consoles.
- You play games and know your way around the hardware.
- You've worked with customers before: a shop, a counter, hospitality.
- You've worked in a warehouse, post room or stock role.
How hiring works
- We read every application ourselves.
- If it looks like a fit, we'll call you for a short chat.
- Then you come to the workshop to meet us and see the work.
- We decide quickly.
