Why it lasts

We fix drift with TMR sticks

Stock controller sticks read their position with a carbon track and a wiper. They rub every time you move the stick, the track wears, and that wear is what makes a controller drift. Fitting another stock stick resets the clock.

TMR (tunnelling magnetoresistance) sticks read the position with a magnetic field instead. Nothing rubs, so that wear can't happen. TMR also draws less power than Hall effect, which matters on a wireless pad, and it is what we fit as standard.

TMR stick

  • Contactless: no track to wear out
  • Lower power draw than Hall effect
  • Covered by our 12-month warranty

Stock stick

  • Carbon track that wears with use
  • The usual cause of drift
  • Drift can come back as it wears again

I bought a pair of TMRs for my DualSense Edge, and they fit perfectly. The idea of sending the customer a video and photos of the calibration is excellent - it really instills confidence and credibility. Great work!

Was suffering from stick drift on my PS5 controller so sent it in to OG Repairs for an upgrade to the TMR Gulikit sticks. Photos showing the upgrades, a video pre-upgrade confirming stick drift, then a video post-upgrade showing it was gone. Very impressed and will return.

I ordered a custom controller with back buttons, mouse-click buttons and triggers. Took a bit longer than expected but I was refunded for the extra time thanks to great customer support. Would recommend, and the 1-year warranty is good peace of mind.

Back button was stuck inside the controller, so it was repaired same day. Slightly longer than estimated but still same day and I've had no issues since.

Controller repair questions

How much does it cost to fix PS5 controller stick drift?

Stick drift on a DualSense is £34.99, and that price includes fitting TMR anti-drift sticks rather than another stock stick that will wear out the same way. Xbox Series controllers are £29.99. The price is fixed and shown before you book.

Do you repair SCUF controllers?

Yes. SCUF is a big part of our bench work: Reflex, Instinct Pro, Envision and Infinity 4PS. Stick drift on a Reflex is fixed with TMR sticks for £64.99, and we also repair paddles, triggers, buttons and charging ports. Your paddles and remaps are tested before it goes back.

Can you fix a DualSense Edge or an Xbox Elite Series 2?

Yes. Edge drift is fixed with TMR modules for £64.99 and Elite Series 2 drift for £58.99. We also do Elite bumpers, back buttons and peeling grips, and Edge paddles, batteries and clicky buttons.

Do you fix Switch 2 Joy-Con drift?

Yes. We replace the stick with a TMR anti-drift stick: £34.99 for one Joy-Con 2 or £49.99 for both. Original Switch Joy-Con are fixed the same way.

How does mail-in work, and what does postage cost?

Choose your controller and the fix, and pay online. UK customers can add a prepaid Royal Mail tracked label at checkout (£6.99 Tracked 48 or £9.99 Tracked 24), or post it yourself. We fix it, send you photos and video of the work, and post it back tracked at no charge. We accept controllers from outside the UK too: you get our address and shipping instructions after booking.

Can I visit the workshop instead?

Yes. Book a free slot and bring it to Unit 9, Hatcham Road, London SE15 1TR. Visits are by appointment, many controller repairs are done while you wait or the same day, and you pay when you collect.

Can I get a quote first?

Yes, and the quote is free with no obligation. Tell us the controller and what's wrong in the form at the top of this page and we reply with a fixed price. If you already know the fault, the prices on this page are the prices you pay, paid at checkout when you book.

What if you can't fix it?

No fix, no fee. If we can't fix your controller, you don't pay for the repair and you get it back. Fixed-price repairs are paid at checkout and refunded in full if we can't complete them; if you asked for a quote, you only pay once you've approved the price.

How long does a controller repair take?

Most controller repairs take 2-3 hours on the bench once it's with us. Postage is on top for mail-in. When the workshop is very busy a repair can take longer, and we keep you updated if so.

What warranty do I get?

Every repair comes with a 12-month warranty covering the parts we fit and our workmanship, including the TMR sticks. The full terms are in our warranty policy.

Why TMR and not Hall effect?

Both read the stick's position with a magnetic field instead of the carbon track and wiper that wear out and cause drift. Nothing rubs, so that wear cannot happen. TMR also draws less power than Hall effect, which matters on a battery pad, so TMR is what we fit as standard.
