Exterior only. This is a cosmetic clean: the shell, the outer panels, the vent slats and the port surrounds. We do not open your console up to the cooling assembly on this service and we do not touch the thermal paste or the liquid metal. If your console is overheating, scroll down to the second section, because the service you want is a different one.
An ultrasonic clean gets the outside of your console properly clean rather than wiped clean. The shell comes off and the outer panels go into an ultrasonic tank, where the solution reaches into the vent slats, the seams, the port cut-outs and the textured surfaces a cloth cannot get to. Years of dust, grease, nicotine film and sticky residue come off, and the console goes back together looking close to new.
Exterior or internal: which service do you want?
This one is the exterior. If your console is running hot, throttling, shutting itself down or sounding like a hairdryer, the fault is inside, on the heatsink, the fan and the thermal interface, and the fix is our Overheating Repair for your model: it strips the console to the board, clears the dust out of the heatsink fins and the fan, and renews the thermal interface, which is fresh thermal paste on a PS4 or an Xbox and fresh liquid metal on a PS5. What we do
- Console opened far enough to free the outer panels
- Panels cleaned in a temperature-controlled ultrasonic tank
- Vent slats, seams, port surrounds and badge recesses cleared out
- Loose dust blown from the inside of the shell (no thermal work, see above)
- Everything dried, reassembled, powered up and tested before it comes back to you
What a clean will not do
Scratches, gouges and sun-yellowed plastic are in the plastic rather than on it, so no amount of cleaning shifts them. If your shell is damaged rather than dirty, ask us about a replacement shell instead and we will quote it. And it will not bring temperatures down, because temperatures are an internal problem: that is the overheating repair above.

Turnaround times are typical, not guaranteed: when we are busy a job can be delayed by up to 7-10 working days, and we keep you updated if that happens.

How long will the repair take?
We aim to complete repairs as safely and as soon as possible, however note it can take up to 3-5 days or longer depending on parts availability. When we're busy, a repair or upgrade can be delayed by up to 7-10 working days - we do everything we can to avoid that and keep you updated.
How do I send my console in?
As soon as you have completed your order we will send you a confirmation email. In the UK that includes your prepaid tracked label (if you chose one at checkout) - a QR code to use at your local Post Office. Outside the UK we send our workshop address and shipping instructions so you can post your console in. Once repaired, we ship it back to you tracked at no charge - UK and international.
Is there a warranty?
We offer a 12 month warranty on all repairs carried out at OG Repairs.

Do you send proof of the repair?
Yes - we send photos and a before/after video showing the fault fixed, so you can be confident in the work before your device is even back in your hands.
Can I drop it off in person?
UK customers can drop off at our London workshop (Unit 9, Hatcham Road, London, SE15 1TR). Mail-in is available worldwide - just choose your preferred option at checkout.
