Charging ports are the most common Switch repair we see, worn loose from repeated cable insertion rather than any single incident. Joy-con rails follow close behind โ the rail is a mechanical connector, and repeated docking and undocking wears the contact points until the connection becomes unreliable, which often looks like a joy-con fault when it's actually the rail on the console itself. Cartridge slots and microSD slots wear similarly, from repeated insertion rather than a single failure event.
Screen faults split into two types: cracked or physically damaged screens from drops, and the OLED-specific panel issues that don't apply to the original LCD model โ the two aren't interchangeable repairs. Battery replacement becomes relevant on older units; a Switch that drains fast or won't hold charge the way it used to is usually the battery itself, not the charging port, though the two faults can look similar from the outside.
We check which of these it actually is before quoting, since several of these faults present the same way to the user. Drop off at our London workshop or post your Switch to us โ it packs down small and travels well. 12-month coverage on all finished repairs.
Common Questions
How does mail-in work?
Tell us the fault and pick a prepaid Royal Mail tracked label at checkout (UK), or we'll send our workshop address (worldwide). Post it in, we diagnose and confirm the price, repair it, and ship it back to you tracked - free, UK and international.
How long does it take?
Most repairs are turned around in 1-2 working days once we receive it. Drop-offs are often same-day. When we're busy, a repair can be delayed by up to 7-10 working days - we do everything we can to avoid that. We keep you updated the whole way with photos and videos.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes - we accept mail-in repairs from anywhere in the world and post it back to you tracked.
What's the warranty?
Every repair and custom build comes with a 12-month warranty on the parts we fit and our workmanship. We're a full repair shop, so you're covered - the full terms are on our warranty policy page.
Do I pay upfront?
You confirm the quote before we start. For drop-offs you pay on completion; for mail-in you'll be sent a secure payment link once we've diagnosed it.
Is it safe to send my device?
Absolutely. We handle thousands of devices, track everything, and send you photos/videos of the work. Every device is tested before it goes back.
