Drop off at our London workshop (same day possible with our priority service) or mail in from anywhere in the world.
Drifting sticks, sticky buttons or a Pro Controller that won't charge? We repair the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller in our London workshop, or you can post it in from anywhere in the UK. Stick drift repair is ยฃ37.99, and every repair carries a 12-month warranty.
Standard Pro Controller sticks read a carbon track that wears, which causes drift. The sticks are soldered to the board, so we desolder the old ones, fit a new pair and calibrate them. Want drift gone for good? Our Switch Pro Controller Upgrade fits TMR sticks instead.
We also fix sticky or unresponsive A, B, X, Y and D-pad buttons, the ZL and ZR triggers, a loose or dead charging port and a controller that won't turn on, and we offer an ultrasonic deep clean. We test every controller on our Gamepad Tester before it goes back to you.
This page is for the original Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. For the newer Switch 2 Pro Controller, see our Switch 2 Pro Controller Repair.
Every repair is tested before it goes back, and carries our 12-month warranty. Drop it at our London workshop by appointment (Mon to Fri), or post it in from anywhere: UK orders can add a prepaid Royal Mail label (a QR code at the Post Office, nothing to print), and we send it back tracked for free.
Turnaround times are typical, not guaranteed. When we're busy, a repair can be delayed by up to 7-10 working days - we do everything we can to avoid that and keep you updated.
Common Nintendo Switch Pro Controller repairs, explained
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my Switch Pro Controller drifting?
The stick sensors wear with use, so the controller reads movement when you aren't touching it. Cleaning can help for a while; replacing the sticks fixes it, and a TMR upgrade stops it coming back.
Is it worth repairing a Switch Pro Controller instead of buying a new one?
A stick drift fix costs much less than a new controller, and the TMR upgrade makes it more drift-resistant than it was out of the box.
How long will the repair take?
We aim to complete repairs in 1 day, as safely and as soon as possible, however note it can take up to 3-5 days or longer depending on parts availability. When we're busy, a repair or upgrade can be delayed by up to 7-10 working days - we do everything we can to avoid that and keep you updated.
How do I send my controller in?
As soon as you have completed your order we will send you a confirmation email. In the UK that includes your prepaid tracked label (if you chose one at checkout) - a QR code to use at your local Post Office. Outside the UK we send our workshop address and shipping instructions so you can post your controller in. Once repaired, we ship it back to you tracked at no charge - UK and international.
I have an unofficial controller, can you repair it?
We only repair official, BattleBeaver, Aim, or SCUF controllers.
Is there a warranty?
We offer a 12 month warranty on all repairs carried out at OG Repairs.
Can you repair a modified controller?
Yes, we can, however it will incur additional charges. Please do add a note on your order if this is the case.
Do you send proof of the repair?
Yes - we send photos and a before/after video showing the fault fixed, so you can be confident in the work before your device is even back in your hands.
Can I drop it off in person?
UK customers can drop off at our London workshop (Unit 9, Hatcham Road, London, SE15 1TR). Mail-in is available worldwide - just choose your preferred option at checkout.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major cards, plus Klarna, Clearpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay - so you can spread the cost with interest-free instalments.
