About this repair
Stick drift on a DualSense means the stick registers movement when nobody is touching it. We replace the worn analogue stick, then calibrate and test it. Choose one stick or both above for £24.99. Typical repair time is same day (once received) once it is on our bench. Covered by our 12-month repair warranty.
Signs you need this repair
- The camera or character moves on its own
- The cursor creeps across menus without input
- The stick does not return cleanly to centre
- Recalibrating helps for a while, then the drift comes back
What causes it
- Standard analogue sticks read position through a resistive contact track that wears with use
- Dust and debris getting inside the stick housing
- Drops and knocks that damage the stick module
How we fix it
- We open your DualSense and confirm which stick is drifting
- The worn stick module is removed and a new module is fitted
- The sticks are calibrated so centre and full travel read correctly
- We test every direction before it goes back to you
Frequently Asked Questions
How can I tell it is drift and not the game?
Open a menu or a stick test with your hands off the DualSense. If the cursor or reading moves on its own, the stick is drifting.
Will recalibrating fix stick drift?
It can hide light drift for a while, but a worn stick keeps getting worse. Replacing the stick module is the lasting fix.
Can you do just one stick?
No problem. Choose one stick or both on this page and send in only what needs the work.
How long will the repair take?
We aim to complete repairs as safely and as soon as possible, however note it can take up to 3-5 days or longer depending on parts availability. When we're busy, a repair or upgrade can be delayed by up to 7-10 working days - we do everything we can to avoid that and keep you updated.
How do I send my console in?
As soon as you have completed your order we will send you a confirmation email. In the UK that includes your prepaid tracked label (if you chose one at checkout) - a QR code to use at your local Post Office. Outside the UK we send our workshop address and shipping instructions so you can post your console in. Once repaired, we ship it back to you tracked at no charge - UK and international.
Is there a warranty?
We offer a 12 month warranty on all repairs carried out at OG Repairs.
Can you repair a modified console?
Yes, let's see what's possible.
Do you send proof of the repair?
Yes - we send photos and a before/after video showing the fault fixed, so you can be confident in the work before your device is even back in your hands.
Can I drop it off in person?
UK customers can drop off at our London workshop (Unit 9, Hatcham Road, London, SE15 1TR). Mail-in is available worldwide - just choose your preferred option at checkout.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major cards, plus Klarna, Clearpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay - so you can spread the cost with interest-free instalments.
