DJI Mavic Air IMU Error & Calibration Fault Repair
The IMU is the Mavic Air's motion sensor. After a knock it can report errors or refuse to calibrate, and the drone will not fly safely. We find whether it is the IMU, its mounting or the board, repair it and recalibrate the IMU and compass. It costs £89.99, takes typically 3-7 days and is covered by our 12-month warranty. Post it in or drop it at our London workshop by appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does an IMU error mean on a Mavic Air?
The inertial measurement unit tells the drone which way is up and how it is moving. If it reports an error the flight controller cannot trust its own motion data, so DJI blocks or limits flight.
What can I try before sending it in?
Calibrate on a flat, level surface away from metal, with the drone at room temperature. If it still fails after that, the fault is usually physical and needs a bench repair.
Is it safe to fly with an IMU warning?
No. A drone with a faulty IMU can drift or flip without warning. Keep it grounded until it is fixed.
Can I add other repairs to the same order?
Yes. IMU calibration fault repair is already ticked for you above, and you can tick anything else your Mavic Air needs in the same order. The most expensive job is full price and every extra repair or upgrade is 10% off.
How do I get my Mavic Air to you?
Mail it in from anywhere: UK orders can include a prepaid tracked label, and international customers get our workshop address and packing instructions by email. We send it back tracked at no extra charge. In the UK you can also drop it off at our London workshop by appointment.
Is the IMU calibration fault repair covered by a warranty?
Yes. Every repair and upgrade we carry out on a drone comes with a 12-month warranty from our London workshop, and we send photos or video of the finished work before it ships back to you.
