DJI Mini 4 Pro Battery Hibernation Recovery
A DJI Intelligent Flight Battery left flat for weeks drops into deep-discharge protection, called hibernation, and then will not charge or power the Mini 4 Pro. We safely wake it, balance charge it and test the cells. If the cells are not healthy we tell you and advise a replacement. It costs £19.99, takes typically 3-7 days and is covered by our 12-month warranty. Post it in or drop it at our London workshop by appointment.

Signs your Mini 4 Pro needs this
- The battery shows no lights when you press the button
- It will not charge in the drone, the hub or the charger
- The Mini 4 Pro shows no power with that battery fitted
- The battery was stored empty or unused for weeks or months
What causes it
- Long storage with a low charge, so the cells self-discharge too far
- The battery's protection circuit locking it to stop it charging unsafely
- Ageing or damaged cells that can no longer hold a safe voltage
How we fix it
- Check the battery case for swelling, damage or a crash impact
- Wake the battery from deep-discharge protection with a controlled charge
- Balance charge it and test each cell's voltage and the battery's capacity
- Return it ready to fly, or tell you plainly if the cells are not safe to use

Frequently Asked Questions
Why won't my Mini 4 Pro battery charge?
The most common reason is hibernation. A DJI Intelligent Flight Battery stored flat for a long time protects itself by refusing to charge. It can often be woken safely if the cells are still healthy.
Can every hibernated battery be recovered?
No. If a cell has dropped too low or the battery is swollen or damaged, it is not safe to revive. We test it and tell you, and advise a replacement rather than return a battery we would not fly ourselves.
How do I stop it happening again?
Store batteries at around half charge, top them up every few weeks if they are not being flown, and never leave one empty in a drawer.
Should I send the drone as well?
Send the drone if it also shows no power with a known good battery. If only the battery is affected, sending the battery is enough.
Can I add other repairs to the same order?
Yes. Battery hibernation fix is already ticked for you above, and you can tick anything else your Mini 4 Pro needs in the same order. The most expensive job is full price and every extra repair or upgrade is 10% off.
How do I get my Mini 4 Pro to you?
Mail it in from anywhere: UK orders can include a prepaid tracked label, and international customers get our workshop address and packing instructions by email. We send it back tracked at no extra charge. In the UK you can also drop it off at our London workshop by appointment.
Is the battery hibernation fix covered by a warranty?
Yes. Every repair and upgrade we carry out on a drone comes with a 12-month warranty from our London workshop, and we send photos or video of the finished work before it ships back to you.
