Xbox One S & X Controller Stick Drift Fix: TMR Anti-Drift Stick Upgrade
Our TMR upgrade replaces both analogue sticks on your Xbox One S & X Controller with TMR anti-drift modules for £29.99. TMR sensors are contactless, so they do not wear the way stock potentiometer sticks do, which is the real cause of stick drift. Every stick is calibrated and tested on the bench, and the work carries our 12-month warranty. Typical turnaround is 2-3 hours.

All Xbox One S & X Controller repairs
Deep Clean is a clean, not a repair: full strip-down, ultrasonic clean of the shell, buttons and sticks, sanitised and rebuilt. No parts fitted and no fault fixed - tick it alongside a repair to get both done in one go. Same turnaround as the repair.

Is this upgrade for you?
- Your character or camera moves on its own with the stick at rest
- Aim creeps off target, or menus scroll by themselves
- You have had to raise the in-game dead zone to hide drift
- You have already had the Xbox One controller sticks replaced and the drift came back
Why upgrade
- Stock Xbox One controller sticks use potentiometers: a wiper rubs on a carbon track, and that track wears with every movement
- Dust and debris get into the stick housing and upset the reading
- A like-for-like stick swap uses the same wearing technology, so drift usually returns in time
How we fit it
- Open the Xbox One controller and remove both original stick modules
- Fit and solder two TMR anti-drift stick modules
- Calibrate centre and full range so there is no built-in dead zone to fight
- Test every input, then rebuild and test again

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a TMR stick?
TMR (tunnelling magnetoresistance) sensors read the stick's position from a magnetic field instead of a carbon track and wiper. Nothing rubs, so the wear that causes classic stick drift does not happen, and TMR draws less power than Hall effect sensors.
Will TMR sticks stop my Xbox One controller drifting for good?
TMR removes the part that wears out and causes drift in stock sticks, so drift from carbon-track wear cannot happen. Physical damage such as a drop on the stick is a different fault, and the fitted sticks are covered by our 12-month warranty.
Do TMR sticks feel different?
They use the same stick shape and caps, so they feel like a fresh stock stick. The difference is precision at the centre and over time, not the feel in your hand.
Can I get other Xbox One controller repairs done at the same time?
Yes. Tick every fix you need on this page and they are done in one visit. The dearest one is full price and every extra one in the same order is 10% off. Popular add-ons on the Xbox One controller include trigger repair, thumbstick cap replacement, stick drift repair.
How do I get my Xbox One controller to you?
Mail it in from anywhere: UK orders can include a prepaid tracked label, and international customers get our workshop address and packing instructions by email. We send it back tracked at no extra charge. In the UK you can also drop it off at our London workshop by appointment.
Is the TMR anti-drift stick upgrade covered by a warranty?
Yes. Every repair and upgrade we carry out on a controller comes with a 12-month warranty from our London workshop, and we send photos or video of the finished work before it ships back to you.
