Switch 2 won't charge? We replace a worn or damaged Switch 2 charging port for £89.99, in our London workshop or by post, with a 12-month warranty.
Docking and cable strain wear the port's contacts, and lint builds up inside. If one USB-C port charges and the other doesn't, the faulty port needs replacing. We fit the new port, then test charging in handheld and docked mode before it goes back. If a charging chip on the board has failed rather than the port, we tell you and quote it as a board repair before doing anything else.
Quick checks before you book:
1. Charge for at least 30 minutes with the Switch 2 power adapter and an undamaged USB-C cable.
2. Plug it straight into the wall, not the dock, to rule out the dock.
3. Try the other USB-C port on the console. If only one port works, that port is faulty.
4. Hold the power button for about 20 seconds, then press it again to switch on.

Drop it at our London workshop by appointment (Mon to Fri), or post it in from anywhere in the UK. Console repairs are UK only. Turnaround times are typical, not guaranteed: when we're busy, a repair can be delayed by up to 7-10 working days - we do everything we can to avoid that and keep you updated.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I try before booking?

Plug it straight into the wall, not the dock, to rule out the dock. 3. Try the other USB-C port on the console: if only one port works, that port is faulty. 4. Hold the power button for about 20 seconds, then press it again to switch on. Still nothing? Book a repair on this page.
Why won't my Switch 2 charge?
Often it's the charging port: docking and cable strain wear the contacts, and lint builds up inside. If one USB-C port works and the other doesn't, the faulty port needs replacing.
How much is a Switch 2 charging port repair?
£89.99 at OG Repairs, with a 12-month warranty. If a charging chip on the board has failed rather than the port, we quote that as a board repair before doing anything.
Will it work in the dock again?
Yes. The dock connects through the bottom USB-C port, so we test docked mode as well as handheld.
Will I lose my saves?
We don't wipe the console. Saves on the console stay where they are unless the storage itself has failed, and we'll tell you before doing anything that affects data.
How long will the repair take?
We aim to complete repairs as safely and as soon as possible, however note it can take up to 3-5 days or longer depending on parts availability. When we're busy, a repair or upgrade can be delayed by up to 7-10 working days - we do everything we can to avoid that and keep you updated.
How do I send my console in?
As soon as you have completed your order we will send you a confirmation email. In the UK that includes your prepaid tracked label (if you chose one at checkout) - a QR code to use at your local Post Office. Outside the UK we send our workshop address and shipping instructions so you can post your console in. Once repaired, we ship it back to you tracked at no charge - UK and international.
Is there a warranty?
We offer a 12 month warranty on all repairs carried out at OG Repairs.
Can you repair a modified console?
Yes, let's see what's possible.
Do you send proof of the repair?
Yes - we send photos and a before/after video showing the fault fixed, so you can be confident in the work before your device is even back in your hands.
Can I drop it off in person?
Yes - book a drop-off at our London workshop (Unit 9, Hatcham Road, London, SE15 1TR); visits are by appointment. Console repairs are a UK-only service, so mail-in is available from anywhere in the UK.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major cards, plus Klarna, Clearpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay - so you can spread the cost with interest-free instalments.
