About this repair
If the fan connector on your PS5 has been torn off the board, often while removing the fan to clean it, the fan stops spinning and the console shuts down or will not stay on. We rebuild the damaged connection and fit a new connector for £79.99. Typical repair time is 2-3 hours once it is on our bench. It is covered by our 12-month repair warranty.

Can I just reconnect the fan cable myself?
Not once the connector or its pads have torn off the board. The connection has to be rebuilt with micro-soldering before the fan can work again.
Is it safe to keep turning it on?
No. Without a working fan the console has no active cooling, so leave it off until it is repaired.
What if the board is damaged beyond the connector?

How long will the repair take?

How do I send my console in?
As soon as you have completed your order we will send you a confirmation email. In the UK that includes your prepaid tracked label (if you chose one at checkout) - a QR code to use at your local Post Office. Outside the UK we send our workshop address and shipping instructions so you can post your console in. Once repaired, we ship it back to you tracked at no charge - UK and international.

Yes - book a drop-off at our London workshop (Unit 9, Hatcham Road, London, SE15 1TR); visits are by appointment. Console repairs are a UK-only service, so mail-in is available from anywhere in the UK.
